Mohr's premise — that women's professional self-doubt is a learnable, correctable pattern rather than a fixed trait — leans on both cognitive research and a fairly specific practice, distinguishing an internal 'inner critic' from what she calls an 'inner mentor.' The chapter on speech patterns, cataloguing the verbal hedges and qualifiers that quietly undercut authority in meetings, is the most concretely useful section because it names something readers will recognize immediately in their own speech. The 'leap before you're ready' framing is less rigorously argued and closer to motivational shorthand, but the book's real strength is structural.
